and one of their names sounds a whole lot like an eskimo’s snowy dome
another got his name from a world famous kiwi guy
and if you meow like a pirate, well this blog explains why.

 

Ray and Busby

These two handsome brothers live together by the sea
One is meezer brown; the other’s black as can be.
They have two moms who love them and who like to spoil them rotten
These bros are surely lucky in the home that they have gotten.

 

Sammy and Miles (and Billy)

When you hear “ham” the first cats that you think of should be these three.
They live way north near Canada and are orange and brown and meezer-y.
They’ve blogged for ages and at this point they show no signs of stopping,
If you’ve guessed their names, click away right now and grab the clue they’re dropping.

 

Cheysuli, Gemini, and Ichiro

These three cats live in the great northwest where it rains all but three days a year.
The queen of the house is a big-booty meezer who’s lost every Friday, we hear.
The zodiac tabby is floofy and regal; she tells all each Tuesday or so.
And junior’s a meezer who torments them both. The girlcats tell him where he can go.

 

Zippy, Speedy and Sadie

One’s a dead ringer for Rocky the Gutter Cat, she thought herself one of his vixens,
Another’s a Princess, a calico tabby, who was missin’ some toes but has fixed ‘em.
The third may not be home on Memorial Day Weekend, his name suggests he’s off racin’,
Together they’ve all been cat blogging furever, it’s catatonia they’re facin’.

 

Derby and Ducky

This week this whiskerconsin ginger was slipped a little mickey,
Cuz he freeks out when he goes to that place where they poke n prod n stick ye.
He was named for a big hat race that’s run the first weekend in May.
For that’s when he got his furrever home; now he blogs most every day.

 

Tripper the Psyko Stray Cat

THIS PSYKO STRAY CAT IS A TABBY WITH ‘TUDE
AND HE’S SO BIG YOU WON’T WANT TO MESS WITH HIM, DOOD.
HIS GIRLFREND IS PURRFECTLY SUITED TO HIM,
AND HE’S HAP, HAP, HAP, HAPPY, ALWAYS WEARIN’ A GRIN

 

Each month, mousebreath will hold a scavenger hunt across the blogosphere. The clues will be displayed within random mousebreath posts, and we’ll hide ten clues every month. We thought a scavenger hunt would be good because cats are natural born hunters, and this gives indoor cats a chance to sharpen their hunting claws.

This months prize: a $50 Amazon gift card with which you can purchase something for yourself or your owner.

How to play

Throughout the month, scavenger hunt clues will be hidden throughout May’s mousebreath posts. When you figure out the answer, go to that cat’s blog, find the mousebreath logo and leave a comment on the post where the following graphic appears:

That’s it! Just solve the clue, leave a comment on the blog where the clue appears saying I’VE GOT MOUSEBREATH!

So to sum it up, here’s what you do:

1. Find the 8 scavenger hunt clues hidden within mousebreath posts during the month of May.
2. Solve the clue. It will take you to a cat blog which displays the graphic above.
3. Leave a comment on the cat blog saying “I’ve got mousebreath!”.

Bonus

If you place a mousebreath badge on your blog, it will count as solving one clue for that month. For example, if you only solved 7 clues successfully but you posted the badge on your blog, you’ll get credit for finding 8 clues.

At the end of the month, every cat who has found all ten scavenger hunt items (or the ones who came closest to getting all ten) will be entered in a drawing for the grand prize. Contest runs from 12:01 am PT May 1st to 11:50pm PT on May 31st.
