30-lb Cat Celebrates St Pawdy’s with Weight Loss Fundraiser
When we first introduced Tiny the 30-lb Cat, he was morbidly obese, weighing as much as three “normal” cats. Dumped at a shelter in a taped-up cardboard box, he quickly charmed shelter workers who put him on a weight loss regimen.
The regimen has proved successful, resulted so far in a six pound loss. Tiny is committed to getting into bikini shape before summer, so he’s raising money on St Patrick’s Day for his diet fund. His special diet food is a $5 per day expense with vet bills on top of that.
The money is the fund also helps with the expenses for other special-needs animals at the SPCA.
For the fundraiser, Tiny and his buddies are hosting a meet-and-greet at the Frederickton (Canada) SPCA.
“Pawtographs” of the pawpular green-eyed cat will be available for a minimum donation of $5 toward the fund. Tiny also has a Chip-In on his Weight Loss Challenge web page for online donations.
