Hank the Cat, Senate Candidate, Releases Tax Filing
Hank the Cat, a Maine Coon Senate candidate in Furginia, has released his 2011 Tax Filing just as other candidates for federal office do. It’s thought that the release of this sensitive information was necessary after a dog-backed SuperPAC released a video questioning Hank’s character and forthrightness (more on that below) with bogus allegations.
The tax return reveals that Hank earned $5000 last year in the form of an IRA distribution. He had $5800 in tax deductions, so his effective tax was $0. He declined to designate his litter box as his home office, even though he does a long of thinking in there. He identified himself as single and self-employed.
Kittehs across the U.S. are asking, “Where do I get a high-paying job like Hank’s?”
So far, Hank’s campaign has raised over $3,000 for disadvantaged animals. Campaign manager Matthew O’Leary said Hank hoped that instead of spending money on “attack advertisements”, candidates would donate half of their funds towards charities that support the campaign.
The dog-backed Super PAC’s packed-with-lies video besmirching Hank’s squeaky clean image alleges that Hank has neither released his birth certificate nor responded to allegations that he has used cat nip. Hank claims that dogs are simply deflecting voters from the real issues and the dogstream media should go back to eating poop.
