Ask Max Monday: HoHoHolidays Are Coming

Ask Max Monday

Tell us all , how is the new Doctor?  Some people are complaining about the accent.  What are you thoughts?

I thought the accents were fairly easy to understand…at least more than the last Doctor, even though he’s been my favorite. We watched him with closed captions on most of the time. I didn’t need them with the new Doctor. There was only one time in the first episode I was a little confused; I thought she called the bad guy a “big blue $4i7” but it was really “big blue cheat.”

Overall, so far I think she’s magnificent. She reminds me a lot of #10 with a tiny bit of #11. I don’t like her pants, though. Her legs are gonna get cold sooner or later and she’ll need some long pants. I mean, winter is coming and ladies don’t like to shave their legs when it’s cold, and they don’t like other people to see them all hairy though I don’t understand why, so she might want something that actually reaches her ankle.

I was 99% sure I was going to like her before it started. Now I’m sure I will. And I’m digging the new companions, too. This will be a fun season, I think.

This is how I watch Doctor Who. On the Woman’s lap. It’s nice and squishy and when it’s cold in the house, she’s kinda warm.

Max, why is football called football when they use their hands and the ball doesn’t look like a foot?

Well, to be fair, it’s only American football that doesn’t get played with feet. To the rest of the world, what we call soccer is football, and they use their feet most of the time. I don’t know why American football is called football. It should really be called Tackle Ball or Giant Easter Egg Ball, because that’s what they do and what the ball looks like. There’s only one guy on the team that uses his foot, and they don’t even call him the Foot Guy. He’s the kicker!

They really need to get it together and find a better name. Either that or start using real feet during the game. Let’s see how popular it is when body parts are flying around.

MAX IS IT TOO SOON TO START A CHRISTMAS LIST AND MAIL IT TO SANTA PAWS?

It’s only a smidge over two months until Christmas, so you can go ahead and start thinking about the things you might want. You can even start a list. But don’t sent it just yet. Take some time to think about what you really want so that when December rolls around you’re not filled with regret over asking for something you don’t want anymore.

It’s definitely time to start thinking about what you want to do for others for Christmas. I’m counting all the money I have that my people haven’t spent yet so I know how much I have for Toys for Tots. And I’m pondering what nice thing I can do for Buddah. It’s never too soon to think about being nice.

I mean, I’m not doing anything for him before Christmas, but it’s not too soon to think about it.

Dear Max, if Doctor Who is a time lord then human bodily issues may not plague her as they do humans. Maybe her legs are always hairless and her eyebrows perfectly groom. Maybe I e cream is like kale on her planet of Gullifrey. Just a thought.

  2. Max, I was so excited to find the PURRFECT holiday cards this weekend!  The Hubby rolled his eyes, and made noises about how 'we' should make our own cards, and how he could carve something that we could make a stamp out of…but did he do any of that?!?  NOPE!

This is the perfect time to start Christmas planning, and the new Doctor is way cool.
