Ask Max Monday: My Pretty Good Week

Ask Max Monday

Okay doods, there were no questions this week, which is okay because I’ve just been kicking back enjoying a pretty decent week. I only had one day where I wanted to hide all day and not eat; the rest of the week I’ve eaten pretty well and while I’ve been in the closet and in my bedroom a lot, that’s pretty much par for the course. Those are my favorite places and I’ve always spent a lot of time there.

And ya know what? Buddah pretty much leaves me alone when I’m in my room and I’m not sure he even knows where the closet is. He knows where other closets are, but the big one is in the big bedroom tucked around behind the bathroom and I don’t think he goes in there. If he does, it’s not while I’m there. So I can nap and eat in peace–and the people are really good about bringing food into the closet so I don’t have to go to the kitchen on days I just don’t feel like it.

I even felt like digging in the toy box. But the important thing in this picture is that box. The Man made 3 of them. One for the living room and two for my bedroom, to make it easier for me to get up onto the sofas. I didn’t use them at first, but the other day I looked at this one and decided, well, why not? And it worked really well, even better than the other cubes they have around the house for my use. These are just a tiny bit shorter so I can hop and not jump, and my back legs appreciate that.

Also, I have yelled at the Woman several times. She missed that because I’ve been quiet lately, but this week I felt like she needed to be yelled at. I mean, I was on the floor staring at her, trying to get her to remember that there’s a hungry kitty, and when she didn’t pop right up, well…I yelled.

I did it from here, right on the arm of her chair while she looked at memes and things online. Probably bicycle things, too, holy FORK she looks at a lot of bicycle stuff.

In any case, this was a good week. Good enough the Woman said she relaxed a little bit and her stomach wasn’t tied in knots all the time…all she saw in front of her was an old, old man.

I keep telling her, the Man can’t help his age, but will she listen? Of course not.

If you have questions, leave them in the comments or in email and I’ll get to them next week.

  1. Max, we love to see that you are keeping on keeping on!
    I have a question:
Sweetie sometimes sleeps on an old bedsheet, that bunched up inside a crate. I want to rearrange that sheet, since I’m sure it’s not as comfortable as it could be, but I don’t want to fuss enough that she doesn’t want to use it. Should I leave it alone, or make it tidy and more comfy?
    Thanks, Dude!

Dude, we have nothing but respect for your attitude, and well your attitude to all things! On the matter of boxes, that one sure does look good, maybe your staff can publish the sizes so we all can make our own?
Either that or I’ll get Mrs H to chop everything down to my size once I get tired of leaping about.
OK, as to questions this week, what we really, amongst many other things, want to know is where would you go if you didn’t have to travel, ie you had your own bevy of hand maidens and sedan chair or flying carpet to take you places. If is out into the sci-fi realm, I’m sure we could stretch to getting the TARDIS on a one minute rental, after all that’s all you’d want or need given its time travel capacity.
    Till next week!

  4. Max, we’re so glad it’s workin for ya this week. We’ve seen some of our old man cats and old lady cats just perk up to where you’d never know anything was wrong. Here’s to another week just like this one, and maybe some more after that.

Glad things went well, hope it stays that way for a while.

Any ideas on how to convince an orange tabby that is an attention seeker that lying down in front of a very clumsy human at the top of the stairs to demand pets is not a good idea?

  6. YAY Max! We hope things stay good for a while!!
