We have known Laila and Minchie who blog at Cat-A-Holic since they started blogging and we’re pleased to have this opportunity to get even better acquainted.
Funny Farmer Felines: Please introduce yourselves and your human.
Laila: I am Laila, pretty and feminine.
Minchie: I am Minchie. Our human is Peggy.
Funny Farmer Felines: How did you all come to live together?
Laila: I came to live here after Cerise went to the Bridge. I drove Lilly crazy, but I was just a kitten. Minchie and I were adopted exactly one year apart from The Buddy Foundation, a wonderful animal shelter not far from our house. Before the shelter was finished being built, we were being fostered by Sue in her house and she is now the head of the cat adoptions.
Minchie: I moved in when Lilly ran off to the Bridge in 2008. I wasn’t a little kitten but I was happy here the moment I moved in. It did take Laila a bit to warm up to me, though.
Funny Farmer Felines: Tell us a little about the area where you live.
Minchie: We live in one of the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. We don’t get much bird tv here as we always say we live in a “concrete jungle”.
Funny Farmer Felines: Do you have any nicknames?
Laila: I’m Baby Girl.
Minchie: I am Mincharoonie, Minchers, or Little Man.
Funny Farmer Felines: What is your greatest love and your biggest fear?
Laila: I am terrified of a Christmas tree! I make a pest of myself in the morning to get Mom to comb me. That’s my greatest love.
Minchie: I’m pretty fearless but I’m a total momma’s boy. My favorite thing is to lay on Mom in the recliner with my blankie and sleep this way all day long.
Funny Farmer Felines: What kind of mischief do you like to get into, either separately or together?
Laila: I am the well-behaved one and pretty much do not get into any mischief.
Minchie: On the other paw, I am the King of Mischief. At 5:15 a.m. each morning I start trying to get Mom up. I give gentle paw pats on her nose. I sit on the nightstand and bat at the pictures on the wall, play with the blinds on the windows, get on the top shelf of her Disney Artistocats collectables and walk all around them. Then I go into the bathroom and scream at the top of my lungs so it echos. Mom claims it probably wakes the upstairs and downstairs neighbors.
Laila: He always wants to make a mad dash out the front door into the hallway of our condo. If Mom is on the phone too long, he starts screaming that it’s been long enough. Should I continue?
Funny Farmer Felines: You have been blogging since April 2007? What prompted you to begin?
Lailah: Mom thought it would be fun so she opened a blog for herself with the idea it would mainly be about cats. Lilly and Cerise, her cats at the time, took it over and it became a cat blog.
Minchie: Much more interesting and fun! We used to blog every day but as Laila and I got older, the photo ops weren’t as plentiful. We do try to post three times a week.
Funny Farmer Felines: How would you describe yourself? Extrovert, introvert, A-1 Snoopervisor …?
Laila: Introvert with strangers.
Minchie: Extrovert. I love company and go to the front door to welcome everyone.
Laila: He’s very active and VERY loud!
Funny Farmer Felines: If we were to ask your mom what she loves best about you, what do you think she would say?
Laila: That’s a hard one. She loves everything about us.
Minchie: Yes, even my shenanigans and loud meows. We’re perfect.
Funny Farmer Felines: Laila and Minchie, you are perfect interview subjects too, and we know you will be the perfect hosts as we send Mousebreath readers to check out your blog Cat-A-Holic.
