Life From Samantha and Clementine’s Perspective

 Sam Clemmie

We have the lovely Texas girls Samantha and Clementine from Life From A Cat’s Perspective with us today. They have been blogging for several years so they are well-known to many readers. But pull up a footstool and learn a little more.

Funny Farmer Felines: Would you introduce yourselves and your family, including your canine brother?

Samantha: Hi Funny Farmer Felines. We are so excited to be interviewed by you! I am Samantha, a tuxedo cat. Maverick is Mom’s son’s dog, but he spends lots of time with us. In fact I grew up with him in Florida.

Clementine: I’m a female marmalade kitty.

Funny Farmer Felines:How did you all come to live together?

Samantha:When my Mom Kitty was pregnant, she ended up at Mom’s house one day. Mom Kitty had six of us. Dad said Mom could only keep one and she picked me. She called me Blackie at first because she though I was a boy. At the time she had Ariel and Mr. Tigger. Me & Mr. Tigger moved to Texas. One day Mr. Tigger went away and I became an only Kitty.

Clementine: In December 2009, I showed up on the porch of Samantha & my soon to be Mom! Mom thought I was a boy because I was an orange kitty. But I was a girl. She took me to the vet right away to make sure I was healthy and I was. We have been together ever since.

Samantha: Maverick is very kitty friendly. I met him when he was a puppy and we have been furiends ever since. He stays with me and Clementine when his parents go away.

Funny Farmer Felines: What nicknames does your mom have for you?

Samantha: My nicknames are Sam, Samantha, Sammie-Pie, Fuzzy Pants.

Clementine: I’m Clemmie, Clementina, Orange Menace, and Trouble. Maverick is Mavie, Maverlicky and Poppy.

Funny Farmer Felines: Is there a special ladycat / mancat in your life or are you playing the field?

Samantha: My boyfuriend is Socks from Alassandra, The Cats & The Dogs Blog.

Clementine: Ben from Cat’s Cats is my boyfriend.

Funny Farmer Felines: We understand you girls get along very well, but every kitty likes to get into mischief.. What kind of mischief do you get into? Separately or together?

Clementine: I’m the real mischief maker in our house. I make lots of noise because I love paper sacks. I also scratch and sometimes I bite Mom when I am playing with her! And I am always trying to play with Samantha, but she hisses at me.

Samantha: I love to sit on the counter and check out what Mom is cooking. I always get in trouble for that. I love to bang on the door when Mom is getting ready to sleep. Clementine is always trying to chase me and we both get yelled at when we chase each other around the room and over the furniture!

Funny Farmer Felines: Do you belong to any clubs or groups? And does your mom help you participate in any of the blogging events, such as Talk like a pirate day, LiveStrong, Box Day, etc?

Samantha: Yes, I do. I Am In charge of The Tuxedo Gang Hideout. I love to participate in Talk Like A Pirate day, Live Strong, Box Day, Birthday Parties, House Trashing Parties and love to help with the auctions for our furiends that need help. And yes our Mom loves to help us both participate.

Clementine: I belong to the Tabby Cat Club and love to participate in everything I can. We also do Carnival Of The Cats at least two times a month. We love to meet new cat blogging furiends and show them to everyone.

Funny Farmer Felines: Samantha, you’re pretty plucky and must get away with a lot. Perhaps because you’re cute? We noticed your mom started the blog for herself in 2007 but you suddenly took it over and you’ve been blogging ever since.

Samantha: Our blog began when Mom started taking care of her mother-in-law who had Alzheimers. She used us cats for blogging as a way to connect with people because she had to stay home. That is where we met many of our blogging furiends. She found that blogging got her to write, something she had wanted to do since she was a child. In fact her son wondered where she got her posts from.

Funny Farmer Felines: Do you have any special plans for the future of your blog?

Samantha: We would love to participate in Mousebreath and do a special feature like you guys do. We would also like to get better at Photo Shop so we can make some cool graphics for ourselves.

Clementine: We would also like to figure out how to make a Mini Movie, a Cartoon Strip of us and more U-Tube Videos, too.

Funny Farmer Felines: What do you like and dislike about blogging?

Clementine: We love meeting all the kitties and making great furiends?

Samantha: We are always sad when one of our furiends go to the Rainbow Bridge. We’ve lost many friends and cried everytime. It is like they are part of our family and we miss them all.

Funny Farmer Felines: What advice would you give to anyone just starting a blog?

Samantha: The best advice is when you first start blogging and you can’t figure out something, just ask for advice from some of the long time bloggers.

Clementine: Yes, they are very friendly and can give you lots of help. We have made some wonderful furiends and human ones, too. We just love blogging.

Funny Farmer Felines: Thank you, ladies, for reminding us of forgotten details. And it’s always nice to reminisce about the dapper Mr. Tigger.

  1. That was a really interesting interview, our Mum gets a bit fed up when we thunder around all over everything too. We didn’t know that Maverick does not live with you. Your Mum is a good person to take in kitties who turn up at her door. We think another good person probably gave Mr Tigger a good home too, we miss him too.

  2. We love this great interview and hope someone remembers to submit it to Carnival of the Cats.

We think long time fans would love learning more about a long time host of the Carnival!

  3. We’ve known Samantha and Clemmie for a long time. We always thought Maverick lived with them all the time and were very surprised to learn he just visited. Guess it goes to show you can visit a blog for 5 years and still miss something. MOL

  5. Funny (not haha funny) but I’ve never forgotten Mr. Tigger and think of him now and then. I’m pretty sure he found himself a harem out there. He was a babe magnet, after all… 🙂
